North African gem, The Briks, in the South Park section of DTLA, is named after a North African fried, filled pastry, with the menu pulling from the cuisines of North Africa, India, Spain, the Middle East and Mexico, thanks to chef Mario Christerna's international cooking experience and vision. Spanish cocas (flatbread) are served alongside the aforementioned Tunisian briks (a savory, fried phyllo pastry filled with everything from duck confit to tuna) and entrees like North African roasted half chicken with Spanish-style Israeli couscous. There is a full bar and bottomless mimosas and bellinis during brunch.
