Cracked conch with plantain chips, Red Stripe-steamed mussels, signature jerk chicken penne pasta, escovitch whole yellowtail snapper with Scotch bonnet pepper, Bahamian mahi-mahi with lemon-orange boniato sweet plantain mash, West Indian-style bouillabaisse in curried coconut broth — let's face it, you can't get this sort of fare anywhere else in town. The staff is warm, the décor is set in festive motifs of flowers and ortanique oranges, and the wine list has more gravitas than you'd expect from a modest neighborhood establishment. Ambience

Warm woods and a richly hued palette of sunset yellow and burnt sienna create a relaxed, inviting ambience. Walls hand-painted with flowers and ortanique oranges add a tropical flair (as does the flamingo just outside). The bustling space seats 124, and includes banquette “porches” made private with delicate, draped fabrics.
