As its name suggests, Michelin-star Omakase serves omakase-only offerings in two tasting menu price ranges. As is often the case at the best sushi bars in Japan, seating is only at the sushi bar while omakase menus showcase refined edomae (Tokyo-style) sushi in a intimate, Zen-like space in SoMa. With fish flown in from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Fish Market, diners experience multiple courses of impeccable nigiri as well as a few dishes (some on antique Japanese plates) like halibut in mushroom cream, seared Wagyu topped with a gold leaf or seafood salad dressed, all paired with sake or wine.
