Overview

A massive turn-of-the-century brick oven is the soul of Montesacro Pinseria Romana and Enoteca's casual, unassuming dining room in a SoMa alley. Thin-crust, blistered Roman-style pizzas, known as a pinsa, dominate the menu — such as the crowd-favorite margherita or maranella with burrata, broccolini and spicy pork sausage — while a handful of fresh salads lighten the fare. The Old-World heavy wine list and imported Italian soft drinks round out the menu, while gracious Italian staff make you feel as if you've escaped to Italy for a meal.
