Overview

Since 1978, L’Espalier has showcased French- and New England-inspired haute cuisine in prix fixe and chef’s tasting menus. James Beard-award winning chef and owner Frank McClelland uses local, seasonal ingredients in dishes like squid ink pasta with confit egg yolk, bacon, miso brown butter and sea urchin, or honey-glazed duck with lentil ragout, foie gras and a dried fruit and nut tart, as well as a supplementary cheese course. Menus are paired with selections coming from an extensive wine cellar boasting over 500 bottles (some aged over a dozen years), heavy on French and domestic vintages.
