In Somerville, Journeyman showcases a seasonal, locally-sourced tasting menu offered in an intimate, industrial-chic setting, marked by brick and wood-paneled walls and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Many dishes in the ten-course, New American menus are cooked over the wood-grill, like dry-aged duck atop roasted peppers and broccoli rabe, steamed clam atop duck confit with sea foam or a sous vide egg served with morels, fava beans and micro greens. Beverage pairings include natural and biodynamic wines, craft beers and sakes, alongside Scotch, rum and brandy cocktails (note: behind Journeyman, their sister bar Backbar serves excellent craft cocktails and playful bites).
