Overview

Since 2009, Mission district hotspot, Flour + Water, features James Beard-nominated chef Thomas McNaughton’s modern take on Neapolitan-style classics like Margherita or funghi pizzas, house pastas such as pork trotter ravioli or artichoke triangoli, as well as antipasti, roasted fish and meats, and crowd-favorite chocolate budino for dessert. The Italian-only wine list features numerous Piemonte varietals. Helmed by the Ne Timeas restaurant group (Aatxe, Central Kitchen, Cafe Du Nord), the intimate dining room sports a long communal dining table and a sardine mural.
