Cala serves Mexico City-style cuisine from famed Mexico City (MX) chef Gabriela Camara (of Contramar), including steet tacos, seafood sopes with black beans and silky raw trout tostadas, a nod to the raw tuna tostadas she popularized in MX. This casual Hayes Valley eatery features lofty white-washed walls, bursts of greenery and lots of natural light. The intimate bar highlights Spanish wines (as well as some French, Italian and California labels) and agave spirit-driven cocktails like margaritas and mezcal martinis.
