Paying homage to her Wisconsin grandparents, chef Marcie Turney created Bud & Marilyn’s, a retro hotspot in Washington Square West dishing up elevated American comfort fare in a hip, mid-century space that nods to the 1970's. Dishes include crispy cheese curds with burnt scallion Ranch dressing, Nashville fried chicken hot buns, coffee-braised bone-in short rib and the crowd-favorite funfetti cake for dessert. With a felt letter board mounted on the wall listing cocktail specials, the bar churns out classic and house cocktails like the Grand Flamingo (tequila blanco, orgeat, raspberry, lemon), domestic wines and craft beers.
