Overview

Balise is housed in a storied 1832 Creole townhouse with original brick walls and wood floors. Chef/owner and multi-nominated James Beard finalist, Justin Devillier (also of La Petite Grocery), creates seasonal New Orleans dishes that reflect the city’s port industry roots in dishes like fried smoked oysters or beef tartare. He utilizes local Gulf seafood in dishes like barbequed shrimp and fried fish. Guests line the chic marble bar over glasses from an eclectic wine list or cocktails like Death in the CBD (Calvados, absinthe, Green Chartreuse, Champagne.)
