Atchafalaya’s storied past starts in 1924 when the Petrossi family moved to New Orleans and opened their namesake restaurant in a charming neighborhood space in the Garden District. Decorated with reclaimed materials post-Hurricane Katrina, chef Chris Lynch serves creative interpretations of Cajun/Creole classics like duck hash with poached eggs, blackberries, mangos, hollandaise and bacon vinaigrette. During brunch, locals dive into a spirited bloody Mary bar.
