Overview

Housed in Capitol Hill’s boutique hotel The Liaison, Art & Soul is the restaurant where James Beard-awarding winning chef Art Smith showcases his Southern roots in American dishes like fried Amish chicken with spicy collards and buttermilk mashed potatoes, shrimp n’ grits or deviled crab dip with Old Bay chips. The bar churns out local beers on tap and house cocktails like the Nightcap (rum, Aperol, green Chartreuse, bitters, ginger beer). A welcoming front patio, spacious interior dining room and outdoor lounge with fire pit provide multiple spots to dine.
