Opened in September 2016 by Marc Forgione (of Restaurant Marc Forgione and Food Network’s Next Iron Chef), American Cut is a steakhouse that nods to the 1940s. Loaded with chandeliers, cozy leather couches and wooden tables, the restaurant combines traditional steakhouse fare with whimsical dishes like “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag” — a medley of seafoodfrom the cold bar — and desserts such as Crackerjack sundaes and monkey bread. The full bar, with daily happy hour specials, has a small wine list and cocktails like the Plank Old Fashioned (Bulliet bourbon, maple syrup, AC bitters and caster sugar).
